      ShowMe Xcode

ShowMe Xcode is the App that you have been waiting for to learn how to Xcode. This is a program for newbies developed by a newbie so I know the problems that all newbies have when starting to Xcode. The tutorials are written so that you can understand what's going on, not just showing the code and letting you figure out what it's supposed to do. All of the tutorials will show you how to create the app programmatically, in Interface Builder or in Storyboard. The code was developed in Xcode 4.2 and will run on iOS versions 4.2 and higher. This app includes about a dozen base tutorials on how to create base tab bar, table view and navigation controlled projects with variations of each. There will be a separate tutorial in each of the three formats above which will include pictures to help with Interface Builder and Storyboard with downloadable sample code. From there, you can checkout the Index with over 400 entries that you can expand from the base tutorial projects. Of the 400 entries, there are almost 300 working examples with a write-up for each explaining how it works and downloadable sample code in the three formats. There is so much that it's hard to describe it all in a couple of paragraphs. This app is jam-packed with more information than you can find anywhere in one place.Visit my website at www.showmexcode.com to see a list of all the entries in the Index and more screenshots.

      • D for Xcode
        D for Xcode

D for Xcode - Compile, debug, edit, and navigate source files in the D programming language using the Apple Xcode The D plugin for Xcode makes it easy to compile, debug, edit, and navigate source files in the D programming language using Apple's Xcode development environment. The D plugin for Xcode does the following things:· It adds to Xcode the GDC D compiler and the appropriate build rules so that D source files are recognised and are as easy to compile as C, C++, and Objective-C ones. Once you've added a D source file to a project or target, options specific to the D compiler will apear in the build settings.· It allows Xcode to track dependencies between files (by looking for import declarations) and automatically recompile files when a dependency has been modified.· It allows the Xcode debugger to work with D files: stepping thru the code and setting breakpoints works as youd expect it.· It provide "perfect" syntax highlighting using the lexer from Digital Mars' D front end.· It populates the Code Sense editor function popup with functions, classes, and some other constructs the D front end parser can find in your D source file.· It provide icons for .d and .di files in the Finder and elsewhere on the system, and it allows D files to open with Xcode by default. On Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, D files are opened in Xcode 2.5 since this plugin does not support Xcode 3.Installation:· For Xcode 2.4.1: Take the downloaded "D for Xcode.xcplugin" file to the "/Library/Application Support/Apple/Developer Tools/Plug-ins" folder (create the folder if you need to), and relaunch Xcode.· For Xcode 2.5 and Xcode 3: Take the downloaded "D for Xcode.xcplugin" file to the "/Library/Application Support/Developer/Shared/Xcode/Plug-ins" folder (create the folder if you need to), and relaunch Xcode. Requirements:· Xcode 2.4.1 to 2.5 (Tiger) or Xcode 2.5 to Xcode 3 (Leopard)NOTE: Support for Xcode 3 is still incomplete in regard to syntax highlighting.

      • Completion Dictionary
        Completion Dictionary

A great completion mechanism for Xcode Completion Dictionary is a free Xcode plugin that enhances Xcode’s built-in code completion mechanism. You simply type a few letters - either the abbreviation of a macro or the initials of a symbol name - and press the completion shortcut. Completion Dictionary will do the rest.Macro Expansion - A set of user defined macros is searched for an entry matching the abbreviation you’ve typed in. The macros may also contain a number of placeholders. The text range of these placeholders will be preselected, ready to be replaced with your further input.Code Completion - Completion Dictionary integrates the built-in code completion capabilities of Xcode. If there’s no macro found for a given abbreviation, Xcode’s code completion will be performed instead of macro expansion. Here are some key features of "Completion Dictionary": · Seamless Xcode integration with configurable fallback to Xcode’s code completion. · Built-in Macro Editor for quickly adding custom macros. · Completion Dictionary provides full redo/undo support. · Free definable placeholders within the macros. · Query placeholders for macros that require additional user input. · Automatic indention of multi-line macros, allows to insert code snippets properly indented. · Comprehensive set of default macros (includes more than 190 macros). Requirements: · Xcode 2.0 or later. What's New in This Release: [ read full changelog ] · Added 64-bit support. · Fixed an issue with custom menu shortcuts declared in Xcode Preferences > Key Bindings > Menu Key Bindings.
